The Student Concert
The Student Concert will be held on the Monday night of the course. This concert reflects the extremely varied and high quality music making that is typical of the NRC. We are usually treated to several world premiers during the concert from items as varied as gemshorn trios, ocarina consort and a wide variety of recorder ensembles.
The concert is opened by the Renaissance Band and closes with the Recorder Orchestra performing the repertoire they have rehearsed during the course. The 2008 student concert will also feature a performance of original music specially commissioned for the NRC by the newly-formed Chamber Recorder Orchestra.
After the concert there is an informal session of playing folk music in the lounge.
Visitors are welcome to attend the Student Concert free of charge.
