- Dennis Bamforth, who was to have conducted the Recorder Orchestra
again this year, died suddenly and unexpectedly in November 2005. Grace
Barton again stepped in to conduct the Orchestra. There were first
performances of Colin Touchin's D.A.B. and Steve Marshall's In
Memoriam: Dennis Bamforth, both written for the Student Concert in
memory of Dennis.
